Hearing aids differ in the way they work and in the method of their usage, including transmitting sound in auditory pathway through the air, bone conduction, or directly stimulating the sensory hearing hair cells.

Except for its construction and the way of sound processing, hearing aids appear in various types and styles, and we distinguish them primarily by the part of the ear in which they are placed.
The so-called Behind-the-ear hearing aids, named after the placement behind the ear, are the most commonly used. The other popular type is placed directly in the ear canal and hence the name Completely-in-the-canal hearing aid.

Rechargeable and wireless hearing aids
RITE or miniRITE types are the most common rechargeable hearing aids, which have built-in batteries that do not require replacement, but can be recharged by simply placing them in a charger.
Wireless connectivity (2.4G) enables interconnection and communication between hearing aids (when used on both ear), but also connection to other devices. Examples are smartphone and hearing aids connection, allowing easy phone call conversations, audio stream or remote control of hearing aid features via smartphone app. The other example is a TV adapter connection for crystal-clear TV sound.

For example, if a hearing aid costs 18000kn in total, and is used for 5 years (usually more), it will cost you 3600 kunas per year, 300 kunas per month or 10 kunas per day. In other words, while the total price can seem high, the cost of daily use is quite reasonable. On a monthly basis, for example, we can compare this with the cost of cable television, while on a daily basis it is only at the level of one cup of coffee in a nearby coffee shop!

The price range is from 1575kn to 4000kn. Hearing aids in this category allow users hearing in simple auditory situations such as conversation with one person in quiet conditions.
Plus
The price range is from 4000kn to 7000kn. Hearing aids in this category allow users to listen in nature, a quiet restaurant or any other place with moderate noise.
Advanced
The price range is from 7000kn to 13000kn. Hearing aids in this category allow users to listen in nature, quiet restaurant or other places with moderate noise, traffic or driving, at smaller family gatherings.
Premium
The price range is from 13000kn to 42000kn for Connectivity or TV set. Hearing aids in this category allow users listening in all conditions and environments – from quiet to noisy such as listening at events with a lot of people or loud music, in traffic, in the workplace, etc.
